JAIPUR to FATEHPUR SIKRI, AGRA

After a long drive we reached FATEHPUR SIKRI, the old capital. Insignificant buildings and the smell of latrines in the heart of the palace surrounded this sight. So we went on to Agra, where we stayed at the hotel CLARKS SHIRAZ. We got a room on the 5th floor with a great view of the TAJ MAHAL.

In the evening we were led by our guide to a few places where weddings took place that same evening. The enormous amount of decoration and entertainment for 250 to 1000 people must cost enormous sums.

The next day brought the world-famous highlight of every trip to India: the TAJ MAHAL. No picture or picture can reproduce this masterpiece in all its beauty and elegance. No matter how you look at the Taj Mahal, whether as a whole or in detail, it is unbelievably beautiful. A MUST travel to India!

We also visited FORT AGRA, the imposing fortress, with our guide.

At 11:00 am we left Agra. Our driver fought his way through a kilometer-long traffic jam at the exit and at 7:00 pm we reached Delhi. Our room was booked in the hotel MERIDIEN and met our expectations.

JAIPUR nachFATEHPUR SIKRI, AGRA

Nach einer langen Autofahrt erreichten wir FATEHPUR SIKRI, die alte Hauptstadt. Unscheinbare Bauwerke und der Geruch von Latrinen im Kern des Palastes, umgaben diese Sehenswürdigkeit. Also ging es weiter nach Agra, wo wir im Hotel CLARKS SHIRAZ untergebracht waren. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im 5. Stock mit herrlichem Blick auf das TAJ MAHAL.

Am Abend wurden wir von unserem Guide zu einigen Plätzen geführt, an denen noch am selben Abend Hochzeiten stattfanden. Der enorme Aufwand an Dekoration und Bewirtung für 250 bis 1000 Personen muss Unsummen kosten.

Der nächste Tag brachte das weltbekannte Highlight jeder Indienreise: das TAJ MAHAL. Kein Bild und kein Foto kann dieses Meisterwerk in seiner ganzen Schönheit und Eleganz wiedergeben. Egal wie man das Taj Mahal betrachtet, ob als Gesamtheit oder im Detail, es ist unglaublich schön. Ein MUSS jeder Indienreise !

Um 11:00 Uhr verliessen wir Agra. Unser Fahrer kämpfte sich im Schritttempo durch einen kilometerlangen Stau auf der Ausfahrt und endlich um 19:00 Uhr erreichten wir Delhi. Unser Zimmer war im Hotel MERIDIEN gebucht und entsprach unseren Erwartungen.
