Tour 11: Platja de Can Picafort, Pollenca, Cap de Formentor
On the way to Pollenca, we make a short detour to the beach at Can Picafort. Some of the hotels are built right up to the beach, while others have dunes in front of them. The sandy beach covered in seaweed doesn't look very inviting to us. We are spoiled with the beautiful beach of Cala Millor and are glad to have made the right choice.
After a long search, we find a parking space in Pollenca. But it was worth it. A little town to fall in love with. We stroll through the alleyways without rushing and suddenly find ourselves in front of the steps to the pilgrimage church "Esglesia del Calvari". We climb 368 (?) steps, but it was worth it. A pretty church and a beautiful view of the surrounding area of Pollenca from the platform.
Our next stop is Cap Formentor, or rather the Mirador de la Creueta and the Talaia D`Albercutx tower. From here you have a great view of the landscape, the sea and the beach of the Hotel Formentor.
